East Midlands Airport is economical with the truth

COMMENT on this post -  Local ATC will certainly be able to tell what is flying well above their TMA because of the transponder which civil aircraft have, assuming it is one and not a military flight. In the incident I mentioned, the controller identified an aircraft which appeared to be spraying a voluminous trail as a Singapore Airlines fligh because it was transponding. 

But local ATC is a traffic cop at a busy junction, a Natonal Express bus on a distant bypass is visible but otherwise ignored unless it drives off the bypass into the junction. If the occupants of the bus have been chucking chemicals out of the windows beforehand on the bypass, the cop at the junction is not at fault. 

As for noxious materials mixed. in with fuel, as distinct from sprayed during flight by the pilot, that doesn't happen as metallic nanoparticles would wreck engines plus cause mists at ground level with taxiing and so forth.

The airport is correct, they have a region of airspace called a TMA (terminal manoeuvring area) which is mushroom-shaped and extends to 15000ft. Anything above it is not going to land or interact with airport traffic and not be controlled by, or the concern of, EMA.

Having said that, an ATC controller at Belfast was questioned about the trails and said he had noticed them, but the aircraft were not under ATC control being too high for local ATC. 


TAP - Presumably chemtrails flights have to take off and land somewhere.  I would be very surprised if an airport didn't monitor all traffic at all altitudes overhead, while controlling only those flights that come within its own ATC remit.

What about chemtrails that are emitted by ordinary flights by mixing the aluminium, barium etc with the fuel?  I am quire sure these flights will also be occurring from East Midlands Airport.   Are they attempting to deny the existence of these flights? 

The PR given out by the airport says they only record flights 'associated' with the airport, a term which is not defined.  If they don't monitor all flights at all altitudes, how can they differentiate between associated and non-associated?  The radar equipment they use to monitor traffic will certainly show the flights above the height they control.  

What do they do with the information?

They can't say they don't have any records.  I am sure everything is recorded in ATC as a matter of course.

They choose not to see the information, or be aware of it.
